thread indicator

Any idea were to go to buy a Myford indacator for a Super 7 at reasonable costs?

I badly need one in good shape.

I have a flat bed Drummond like yours. I have used it a lot for screw cutting with no problems. It is vital to keep the lead screw clutch ( as shown in your photo) engaged at all times and return the carriage to the start by reversing the lathe. Mine still has the treadle so this is a very quick and easy thing to do.

Leaving everything engaged and putting the lathe into reverse is foolproof and the only way of cutting metric threads on the ML7 imperial version.

I have a S 7 Mk 1 and doing what Eric & Jon says works fine . so its worth a try . I do this using a mandrel
handle . or keep watching on Ebay

Thank you Dennis; it seems, I was too quick because today the man who has done the complete overhaul and conversion to metric mailed me, he had one for me, it was on the machine before he started working on it and belongs to my Myford, so it will be resprayed in Myford grey and then I can pick it up. I am a lucky guy, Myfordsolutions is only 10 miles from my house.
