You could make one like this and add to it as you can  see you can m/c under power and set the depth when the drive peg reaches the end of the slot it just spins and you an remove it

You are right Howard the ones in the photo I made out of H&T gauge plate to save using the the best ones .
Stew that would be a good little project as I said i find them useful . I have sine bars angle plates etc but this is good and quick

Thank you Those gauge blocks you can see i made to save using the best slips are standard sizes for 20 30 degrees etc

I used a Vice I bought  to alter into  a 5" sine vice  very useful angles

I would say make a template like Mike says set up similar to my effort  The template fits in to tailstock Nobby

Yes Clive its called bumping up a reamer . we used ot quite often you can also put a shim say about 2 thou along side the reamer

The tools fly cutter boring head ect screw on with 1/2" thread 2nd picture shows me turning the location nice and true in situ I have made several cutter holders 6MM one shown in 1st picture 6 m.m cutter holdertruing 3/4 location
