I thought I should share the following excellent response from WARCO. Yesterday my WM14 Mill developed a fault, traced to the small speed sensor PCB.
I phoned WARCO mid-afternoon and described the problem.
A replacement PCB arrived in the post at 8.30 this morning.

I totally agree with Brian. Warco do provide excellent customer service. I have to say, when Warco sent me an imperial milling machine when I had ordered an metric, the wrongly dispatched machine was collected by Warco and a replacement metric machine was promptly dispatched. As a goodwill they added the metal stand to the delivery for delay caused.

I'm sorry but not the same for me.
Last year when my VMC arrived at my workshop (Italy) no one was able to move it from the truck because they do not have the right tools.
So I had to jump into the truck and dismount all the VMC just to be able to bring everything in my shop.
Unfortunately WARCO could not do anything to help me....
I think that the dealer (WARCO) should be aware of the vector used and what they can or cannot do.
My 2 cents.

It does seem that peoples experience of Warco is variable to say the least.

When I bought my 220 lathe (rebadged Mashstroy C210T) it was because I thought it offered the best value for money at that time, but during my research, I came across two people whose experience with the same lathe was very poor to say the least. In comparison with Boxford/Myford it does have limitations, eg the lowest speed is 125rpm as against 37/15 (Boxford/Myford) and the leadscrew drive mechanism isn't perhaps the best. Also there were a couple of problem areas which I eventually managed to sort out. But within its limitations, and with care, it does what I want and after 16 years it is still working satisfactorily.

I also bought a MiniMill. This was despite knowing that there could be problems with the plastic gears (proved correct on both mine and my friend's machine) and with the electronics (so far so good). The machine did have casting sand around, some of the slide surfaces look as if they have been made with an angle grinder, but in all honesty, what do we expect for that price. For what it is is worth, my plastic gears lasted only a few weeks (my friends even less) but Warco supplied new ones immediately for the price of a 'phone call, the only comment being that they had not lasted very long with me! Fair comment - and the replacements have lasted a lot longer. So was it me? Now that I have become used to the machine, it does do what I want despite the fact that it really does need time and money spending on improving it.

I must also say that when I bought the 220, I traded in a Hobbymat for which I got a very fair price, even though it was unseen. I should also say that Warco themselves delivered my lathe - and their driver made me look like an 8stone weakling the way he moved it around. The MiniMill was bought partly because it's weight was within my capabilities so the (non-Warco) delivery driver and I were able to manhandle it reasonably easily.

So all in all, my experience of Warco has been reasonable, even though the machinery is not perhaps the best.

I have bought several machines from Warco along with various accessories.
My most recent purchase, An ex demo GH1330.
Warco have always been very professional in their approach and extremely helpful in their response to queries etc.
I purchased a Drill press from one of their open days and despite it being sold at a bargain price due to poor tolerance in the cating causing the spindle downfeed to be misaligned, when the spindle drive dog cracked, they had no hesitation in sending me a replacement free of charge.
\there was a bit of a cock up with the delivery of the lathe and Roger kindly refunded the delivery charges.
I personally have no complaints about Warco or their machines. They are what they are. If you buy a Chinese built machine you know you are not getting a Harrison, Colchester or Myford, but they work and can be made to be very accurate, without modification, I was happy with the accuracy of my GH1330, there is room for improvement but then I am a perfectionist.
I have owned machines from Warco and Chester and both are excellent suppliers. But their machines will be an ongoing project if you desire perfection - it can be achieved. They are built to a price point.

Usual disclaimers - but a very happy customer
Don't knock Asian built machines, just accept them for what they are.

I have also bought various items from Warco which have proved to be satisfactory. I would recommend the company on its products and especially, Roger Warrens customer service attitude. Usual disclaimers - just a very happy customer.

I'd agree with coalburner exactly. their accessories have ben very good.

I bought a Super Major mill. It was in stock, delivered when they said it would be, and I was told what kit I would need to move it. IIt has been a first class machine, and very accurate, once I had paid a bit of attention to detail.

I did need some advice on replacing a broken drive peg in the R8 taper. I phoned in the morning and an e-mail came back within a couple of hours, andI had the peg replaced that night.

So yes, very good, and value for money IMO.
