14 forum posts | Gentlemen, I wish to build a magnetic chuck and because I am not as
computer adept as you lot, do not surf well for info. Can anyone suggest
sources they have seen which detail things like.. coil winding, horizontal
or vertical placement, parallel alignment, materials, voltages, size selection.

![]() 1531 forum posts 44 photos | Hi Graham, Dave Lammas discusses mag.chucks in a series in ME starting 03 Feb 89 ending 02 Jun 89. Also, Michael Jacot in ME 01 Aug 97 discusses a mag.chuck using a ceramic magnet from a bus gear box. At the time, I did wonder if it might be possible to use a ring magnet from a loudspeaker.
