I am a member of (GEC) coventry mes and we are a member of the midland fed and southern fed (I think) and our boiler inspector issued us with the new regulations i think they cost about 30p ! so if you get in touch with your local fed they may be able to help
I am no expert on boilers and the regs!

I got a useful little booklet at the last ME Exh, it is published by the Federations.
Lots of useful info in the publications section of their web sites.
Try looking at www.southernfed.co.uk/publications.htm |

![]() 107 forum posts | I see from the Walker Midgely site that boilers of less than 3 bar-litres capacity don't need a test certificate **LINK**. I estimate the capacity of the large Tich boiler as about 450cc, and the pressure is no more than 90psi (max, so that's roughy 0.450 x 4 = 1.8 bar litres. Froma purely legal insurance perspective, not individual club requirements, is it therefore correct that a Tich boiler would not need a test certificate? Joey |

Are there 2 or 3 boiler designs for Tich? I thought there was a 3" large boiler and a smaller 2 5/8" boiler with a belpaire boiler. But it appears the belpaire may be the nbest of them all. is there a 'standard' small boiler? I'm going to post some Tich observations in another thread.
