An observation
 
if I click from Latest Posts I get a display with some of the thread text under the right hand adds

Must admit I dont know about this problem ... I have tried on the 3 versions of Internet explorer  ( 5, 7 & 8 ) I have on the PCs's here, as well as Firebird, and can't replicate the problem at all.
 
Can you private message me with details of your system and software and I will pass it on.

I agree. The postings page has the right hand edge of the comments obscured by the Hobby Stores ad.  No need for this.

Just joined uptothis forum, it looks excellent. I too am getting the adverts covering then end of the posts on some pages.I am on IE8 and have not had problems elsewhere.

Hi,
Is there any chance of including a category for "WANTED" just as you have for "FOR SALE"  in the CLASSIFIED ADDs?
 
As there are always items we are looking for or which need a good home,  and I would rather trade or buy from another Engineer rather than buy from a trader on Ebay or the likes.

As you can post messages, you must be registered and logged in.
You should be able to see classified.
Can you try again?

I have just tried again and all I see is the headline text I can see no body text.  I am using Firefox v3

Hello all
I just done a validation test on the first page (home)and it has 100 errors.
This will explain many of the problems in displaying the site.
I have tried to add the errors but it will not accept them as to long,

is the test site

Changed.
If anyone wants to add a long link it is quite easy.
Place short text on page such as
 
click for link.
 
Select text and click chain icon in editor.
Paste in URL and problem sorted.

Untill today I've had few problems with this site but today as a a few others have commented on, the text boxes are covered with adverts on the rhs can u fix this

I'm  having the same trouble as zensunni.
I click on the Classified links and all I get is the headline in green with no text underneath. I'm also using Firefox 3

I have determined that my problem in seeing the text of the ads in the classified section was caused by AdBlock Plus.

Untill today I did have the overlap which is now clear, BUT, on another stream, is there no mechanism to put into ones own account box the fact that a message is waiting, without having to open the "My Messages" box??

The "my account" box in the top left shows if there are any unread messages, the number of messages is shown in brackets against the "My Messages" link so you don't need to open another window to see if one is there.

RE non-appearing classified ads, the problem was with AdBlock in FireFox 3. Thanks, I have it sorted out now,
