I am putting all my time into making the model hope to beg, borrow of hire time on someone else's spark erode.

Has anyone got a spark erosion tool that I could use. I need to make some 1:12 scale extrusion dies this involve making a shape that will fit inside a 3/8 circle and cut down 0.125" of steel. Yes I thought the area was smaller but all the trade stands I remembered were there. As always got nearly all my list plus some. Can anyone help me find some 10BA steel stud looking for two 8 inch lengths

I am assuming that the idea is that plastic passes through security more easily

I foolishly measured a strong magnet and mine was attracting everything I hooked up a coil through an AC Variable Transformers It de magnetised it and it still works OK

I would like to see sometimes Mack 3 articles would an answer be to use this web site for the code to save column inches (mm) this would also cut and paste of the code

Because of those articles I an now running Mach3 on my mill and am very pleased with the result

May I rephrase the question to its more common form.

Why does a steam engine not work.

I would tend to agree with Ian.

I have built a triple and though I had a sense of satisfaction when 850 hours later it worked the machining was a bit samey also as I did not run it on steam the timing had to be messed about with to compensate for the fact that compressed air does not condense like steam does.

Subsequently I have designed my own engines but it’s a lot of work especially if you really enjoy the machining following proven plans does give you a finished working model.

Try looking at Linley machines they for me have combined good difficult machining using stock bar (easy to have more at one go at a bit) with work of art looking working machines their plans are proven but just plans you have to work out how and which order you make it.
