![]() 3988 forum posts 1799 photos | Hi MichaelG, stage performances aside, I guess they could be a valuable asset to industry in time, and would've saved considerable costs in my old maintenance day job, where the risk factor was too high for us mere mortals to do some things without hiring cranes and man baskets and or scaffolding, just to replace a bolt for example. Regards Nick. |

125 forum posts 14 photos | I thought i recognised the name before i watched the vid. Think i saw a Boston Dynamics dog before. Yes it's an engineering marvel~ & that's just what they are showing you they've done. I wonder what robots they've got that are ultra top secret off the radar sort of stuff? I'm probably too old fashioned & read/watched far too much sc-fi in my day..... I find machines moving like humans/animals rather disturbing..... & I could just imagine Arnie on the run from one of these, well maybe he's getting a bit old to be on the run these days! Anyone remember Asimovs' Three laws of robotics? Wonder if industry has given them any thought. Full credit to the makers though, I'd never have believed i'd see such stuff when i was growing up. |
