Saw one of these a couple of days ago

Actually I heard it before I saw it, the engines made quite a racket

It is a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piaggio_P.180_Avanti

Belongs to Britany Ferries and seems to be the only aircraft registered to them, Perks of being the boss I guess.

Piagio Avanti . Yes very loud, it's the pusher props that do it . Believe it or not Piagio were punting out a stealth drone version a while back.

When I lived in Surrey and walked the dog evenings, one used to fly over from North to South fairly regularly, the noise was unlike any other aircraft I had heard, apart from the unusual shape.
