I have three Austin Sevens that I now want to sell. I am not a dealer! Just a lucky enthusiast. Can anyone recommend a place to sell them? I live in Cornwall.

Surely one of the A7 clubs or the VAR.

The VSCC has a considerable number of A7 members. For a pre-1931 car, the VSCC has a 'Lightweight Section' which has around 50% of A7 entries in its events.

the VSCC is currently based in Chipping Norton, but their magazines go world-wide. Vintage Sports-Car Club, if this helps.

Cheers, Tim

Ebay seems to bring good results on collectables.

Thanks to all who replied. I have been out of the vintage car scene for some years now. I di try advertising the cars in a few places a year or so ago, but the pandemic and lockdowns didn't help. I will try the recomendationsThanks again, Lee

Have you seen Mathewsons Classic Car Auctions on the tv programme ‘Bangers and Cash’? It is on the Yesterday channel. They are in North Yorkshire but have featured cars from all over the country and have sold Austin 7s. Might be worth asking them.

Good morning Lee, You could make contact with

Cornwall Austin 7 club

They are a friendly bunch and could probably help you find an honest buyer.

You might try Matthewsons Auctions, from the TV series Bangers and Cash:

Roxby Garage, 8 Pickering Rd, Thornton Dale, Pickering YO18 7LH

They are a long way from you but they might be interested in three Austin 7s

I have no connection with them, just a viewer.

I sold one of my bikes at auction nine years ago through Richard Edmonds Auctions at Chippenham, Wiltshire, and went away happy. I got the price I expected and the fees were low.

I know others who have used them with equal satisfaction.
