According to my records, august 1961, 4issues, contained only 100 and 200-series page numbers, not 716.
Can you clarify ? which loco ?

Your page numbers are way out and no index in those 4 issues has "cab reversing gear"

I thought you were working on a Springbok? You need to find a copy of the Martin Evans book that covers the Rob Roy and William locomotives; its got almost everything in there.

.

I would guess that ^^^ should read page 176 [being in the next issue]

It’s not my area of interest though; so this might only add to the confusion!

Hi, in an index I have, the next instalment for Rob Roy after 3134 is in 3138, page 264, in which is, setting of the valves, fitting of steam and exhaust pipes. Super heater connections, easy removal, suction pipe union.

The only mention I've found of a page 716, is in vol 125, 3132, page 89, which is about an error on drawing on page 716, vol 124.

Regards Nick.

Peter,

The page you are looking for is page 716, 8th June 1961 which gives the g.a. drawing of the Rob Roy valve gear plus reversing lever.
