Thanks JasonB, duly ordered. Any idea how long they take to be sent over from America ?

I don't have any experience with Model Engine Builder, but most digital purchases are pretty much immediate, usually via a link in an email. If they are in the USA, maybe they haven't started work yet today

I'd keep checking your emails.

Hi,

Is Model Engine Builder still operational? The last issue is #38 which is from several years ago...

If you have any trouble getting the plans let me know as I built a Hoglet a while back.

Still operational although not put out any mags for a while. Mike Remus is active on several forums and does not take kindly to breach of copyright.

Well, I paid for a subscription and don't take kindly to a business taking my money and not delivering anything in return.....

Nice!

Issue 39 came out in Nov '20. Maybe you didn't get the notification.

Thanks for the update Anthony my subs ran out with No 38 and I had seem Mike mentioned he was working on #39 at the end of last year on another forum but had not seen it on the website, will get it ordered as I have all the others from #1

Publishing schedule has always been irratic and with his health issues over the last few years difficult for a one man band to get the mags out

I've received no notification about issue #39 and there seems to be no reference to it on the website either. As a paid-up subscriber how do I get access to it? I purchased the Hoglet plans and I took out my subscription for the magazine in 2018. I did get the Hoglet plans but nil else since then.

Contact them by e-mail which is on their site.

Having looked a bit more it seems like there were some computer glitches as the notifications were sent out

Looks like they are a lot more active on Facebook than their website now.

Hello, the Hoglet was designed by Jerry Howell and all his plans are available at his website;LINK

Not so. Randall Cox designed the Hoglet and drawings and articles were in the above mentioned issues of MEB. It's a variation on his other open crank designs the most well known being the "Open-Six" which was in the first issues of MEB

The Hoglet has a steeper Vee than the Howell V-twin more like you find on a Harley Davidson hence the name and why it has a "kick" start.

Quick update on MEB. As mentioned above my subs had run out with issue #37 so I renewed for 4 issues this morning and asked for it to be backdated to #38. just got the e-mail with the link to the mags from Toni so given the time difference I would say that's good going.

Ronan hopefully your hoglet plans came through ok, I ordered mine last month and they came through the same day.

Ifoggy a really nice engine. I've just made a start on mine and if I can get within 50% of your work I will be happy.

Jason did I see your hoglet make a sneeky appearance on mem the other day? smiley
