754 forum posts 2 photos | Good morning, I've been sorting through some acquired taps and dies and came across a die with the engraving "3/8 x 26 BRASS", made by LAL ltd England. It's a conventional round split steel die. Too fine for BSF or UNF. Any suggestions what it's for? |

7227 forum posts 21 photos | As a footnote, if needed, BSB is a Whit form thread, of 55 degrees. 1/4 BSF happens to coincide by also being 26 tpi. Cycle Thread (CEI ) also standardises on 26 tpi but is 60 degree form. It does not coincide with any UNF or UNEF size.. Howard |
