![]() 55 forum posts 29 photos | Thank you all for your responses. Dave I don't know how I missed the imperial sizes in the HPC listing. As for pressure angle - I am going to have to get the magnifying glass out! I assume 20deg. |

![]() 6956 forum posts 229 photos | Ok I know you may not like us to poke into youir business but do make sure you really need it. On another forum a couple of months ago a chap went to lots of trouble and expense to get a gear to cut a non-standard thread to approximate a metric thread. It turned out he actually could cut a better thread with the gears he already had. |

No minimum with HPC, have a look at their FAQs And a Myford gear would be 14.5pa Hmm, you're right. I checked back a few years and it's been that way a while. I must be remembering it wrong, or confusing with another supplier. |

![]() 55 forum posts 29 photos | Thanks Jason & Pete for your replies. It is the idler gear for a Colchester Student Mk1 Norton Gearbox. Using a magnifying glass ruler and protractor it looks like 20deg pressure angle. The HPC off the shelf gear with a sleeve looks like the way to go. |
