![]() 910 forum posts 303 photos | I've just removed this small motor from my lathe with the intention of using on something else, it has a 2 direction switch wired up, if I could have some input from you clever electrically minded folk, I want to wire it with a simple NVR switch, no reverse needed, the motor has 2 live and 2 neutral, how do you do this on this setup with 4 wires? Please excuse my ignorance on electrical matters. I'll upload a photo in a moment. Edited By Peter F on 28/01/2020 23:10:02 Edited By Peter F on 28/01/2020 23:10:39 |

![]() 2110 forum posts 565 photos | Sometimes there is a wiring diagram on the inside of the cover but failing that is there a plate on the motor. There seems to be markings on the cables that may give a bit of a clue, draw a sketch with cable markings and conections woukd help. David |

![]() 2668 forum posts 352 photos | I am struggling as to what the NVR means. Is it a No volt relay. Like a lot of new pillar drills/ bandsaw & the like have fitted. Which are like a latching push start & combi stop button. Doing away for the need of a contactor. Steve. |

![]() 1174 forum posts 303 photos | Stevie NVR is No Volt Release so a contactor is nvr the modern little green and red start stop modules have a latch which is magnetically held in so when power is interrupted the switch latches off so when power is resumed a machine won’t start up |
