Hi does anyone know of anyone selling a cheap basic router duplicator for making duplicating wooden rifle stocks etc.
I am looking for one to buy or some ideas, plans to make one if anyone can help me please

I think the answer will be "no"! Quite a few low cost CNC routers around, depending on what size you want, search for "6040 cnc" on eBay. If you want to copy something then you need a model of its shape, which you can derive by making a 3D scan - you could do this on the same machine except with a touch probe instead of a cutter. Or a laser scan, or I think there are quite low-cost ways to process digital photos to derive the shape.

Hi thank you that’s what I am after the manual type if there is anyone near Wirral Merseyside who wants to make one and I will pay you for it let me know otherwise I will try to design one using the link you have shown me

I'm not too sure about the choice of material for the duplicate gun stock.

I had a Terrco gunstock copying machine it would do very accurate work but it wasn't cheap. I imported it from America.

The one in the Practical Mechanics link is from Clone Duplicators in the UK they seem to supply plans and kits for their creations.
