Sharpen End Mills using Small Milling Machine
Tony Worrall 1 | 13/08/2019 11:28:04 |
7 forum posts 10 photos | I have found a way to sharpen the helical flutes of End Mills and Slot Drills using a Dremel grinder attached to my Mini Millert plus a few gizzmos I made. If anyone wants info and or photos I can supply but the photos are more or less self explanatory. Regards Tony

7 forum posts 10 photos | Hello Andy Thank you for your interest. I have only just joined this forum and still a bit green as to how it works. I have tried to create an Album of photos associated with my membership. The photos attempt to show how I achieved the sharpening procedure. If you need further explanation you can ring me on ****************** (Edit by PM) Regards Tony

613 forum posts 39 photos | Hi Tony, Unless that is a throw away phone or you like scammers etc. I would not publish it's number on the internet. Either delete the post or ask Neil or one of the other moderators to delete it. You can send private messages to members using Message Member under their post. If you have added the photos to an album you can insert them into posts using the camera icon on the edit box. They will then be shown inline in the post. I just looked at all your pictures, looks like a good idea, could be a perfect use for the worn out old ML2 I inherited. I wonder if it would be possible to do the side flutes on the lathe too. Mount the cutter between centres, Fix the finger to the cross slide, dremel to top slide, then move the saddle to grind the flute. Adrian Edited By AdrianR on 13/08/2019 13:03:28 |
