Hello there,

found this forum after doing a bit of online searching.

Was hoping you guys could help.

My father gave me this contraption yesterday. His father made it many decades ago.

Is there anywhere in the UK that will be able to clean it up and make it look good/work. Would love to somehow use this practically but not sure what I would use it for. Maybe just a centre piece, as it's a bit of a family heirloom.

Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

See my reply to your post on the HMEM site for links to info on the ET Westbury's Kiwi engine.

From the pics its a nice example. Your grandfather did well.

If you post some info on what part of the country you are in, someone should be able to suggest a local club or interested individual who may be able to help you.

Welcome to the forum George, yes it's a nice job and with all the extra bits needed as well. With some help you should be able get it running and scare the cat!

Showed my wife the picture, didn't notice the engine just the cat. She is an ex Harley riding hells angle who restored motor bikes and magnetos. How time changes us.

Hi there, yea I'm in Wiltshire, have done my best to look for local clubs, but alas it would appear there aren't any.

I'm really torn on just cleaning it up and sitting on a windowsill or actually getting it up and running and doing something ''different'' with it.

Have a look through this list of clubs. There is one in West Wiltshire might be your closest? LINK
