![]() 119 forum posts 3 photos | I have been looking at a laser centre finder that fits permanently to a pillar drill. I would like to fit one to my Warco mill but the drill one will not fit. Cannot find on that does. Has anyone fitted such a device to a mill? |

![]() 23121 forum posts 1360 photos | Stephen, May I suggest that you read this thread: **LINK** https://www.model-engineer.co.uk/forums/postings.asp?th=92281 There was some very useful discussion. Personally; I don't think that a "pillar drill" style of device would be sufficiently accurate for use on the mill ... but your requirements may differ. MichaelG. |

1001 forum posts 49 photos | Its only as accurate as the lasers zeroed, plus theres way too much spread to pinpoint. Theyre that good i imported a quality one from California when first came out 2002, initial trial twice and never used since. You will get a far more accuracy with mark 1 eye ball.

627 forum posts 72 photos | I have one and use it on the mill for setting vice jaws true. When drilling to a centre pop I use a sticky pin as I am never quite sure that the beam is centre of the pop.I find the sticky pin near enough as any drill can wander slightly and I am not a toolroom fitter and never will achieve those tolerances and I dout many do.
