I have a rotary table with no name on it but it looks identical to Warco HV6 6inches. i also have 3 dividing plates for it to make it into an indexer the trouble is the clip that holds the sector arms is missing. An ordinary C clip keeps coming off, would anyone know where these clips can be purchased. Thanks in anticipation for any help you can provide. Alan.

Should be easy enough to file one up from a bit of brass as that is all they are.

This clip is made out of spring steel with a springy curve in it to hold it tight against the brass washer

So it is now I've had a look, same applies a bit of annealed spring steel and a file then clamp between some rods to put the wavy bends in it. You could even do it with thin steel sheet a sit does not need a lot of spring.

Or make a flat clip and add a belleville washer or similar to get the spring.

Instead of searching for a "C" clip try "E" clip.

Lots shown on ebay or from industrial fastener suppliers.

Paul.

E clip won't work, it needs to provide some spring tension when compressed.

It's the "C" shaped part to the right of the quadrant in this pic

I had a similar problem with my table where I found that the spring clip did not always hold the arms in place,so I replaced it with a circlip. That solved the problem, but as has been said they are easy enough to make from a small piece of brass. I made a special sector arm when I found that I could not obtain one particular division using the existing arms [one of several mistakes I found in the tables ],so they are quite easy to make.

If you have a chart with the 6 inch Rotary table, do be wary, and check. The Vertex HV6 chart had eight errors or omissions, at one time. (Has it still?) One of the errors cost me a week in three scrap workpieces, and then working out what was wrong, before finally making what I had set out to do.
