15 forum posts 1 photos | Hi, I live in Dorsten/Germany and work for a Radio/TV station since ages. In the past I did quite a lot of model engineering work. Increasing workload at my job and growing requests of the family finally led to the decision to drastically reduce the time spent in the workshop. Today I mainly use my machinery to make mechanical parts for my other hobby which is hifi-audio. I still enjoy reading construction series for steam model of all kinds and hope to be able to contribute here and there. |

2742 forum posts 39 photos | Hello Manfred, I have a German email pal who lives near Dusseldorf, presently building a UK kit model of a traction engine. He tells me the steam tradition so entrenched in English history isn't echoed over there and farm motive power of the time was provided by other means, I imagine early diesels Thus far from photos he sends from time to time, he is making a rather nice job of it Welcome aboard to the Forum, many and various are the interests represented here Kind regards Brian |

15 forum posts 1 photos | Thanks for the replies and the warm welcome! My current workshop machinery: Myford ML10 lathe, EBK vertical milling machine, floor standing 3MT drill, bench grinder, lots of accessories. In the past my main interest was in 5" gauge steam locomotives and stationary steam engines of all kind. Now I do a lot of chassis work for tube audio amplifiers and turn and mill special hardware as required for the units. Manfred
