Hi all

I am planning to go to the London show and wonder about the easiest way to get from London Euston to Alexandra Palace. Is it simpler to go by rail via Kings Cross and change at Finchley Park or go by underground to Wood Green? Are there local buses from either station to AP, do they take cash or do I need a travel card? Is there a daily travel pass which would serve for all my local travel on the day, and if so how can I get one? any advice or information welcome.

Thanks

Rod

No trains or buses take cash. Paper tickets, Oyster or debit cards instead.

Ally Pally station must be within the contactless zone I would guess, best option is to use your normal debit card provided it is contactless enabled.

Walk. I did it last year both ways, nice to get a chance to see what London is like beyond the city lights.

You must be fitsmiley For anyone contemplating the walk it is about 6.5 miles from Euston to Ally Pally.

I walked last year from (I think) Wood Green. There was a bus to Ally Pally but after sitting on a train from the Midlands I needed the walk. Bit of a hill for those short of puff though.

No I a normal slightly overweight 65 year old, at least that was last year. Just enjoy walking, looking and hearing, not like most these days that don't see further than their phone. According to Google that is 5.3 miles and around two hours, think it took me somewhat less than that. Also I felt the same as Chris, I had travelled down by train from Rugby.

It's not the walking there that is the problem, it's the walking back when you are weighed down by all that new tooling and materials you have just bought.

In the past I have had to make a couple of trips back to the car to lighten my load before the carrier bags cut off all circulation to my finger tips, I do walk up and down to the carpark.

If you were thinking of going on the friday or Saturday, you could easily talk me into giving you a lift. Hadn't made up my mind whether to go, but would be happy to, since I missed Bristol and Radford Semele last year.

I'm in Blackwood Avenue.
