Hi Guys

Might any one know if this centering scope can have its tapper changed??

At the moment its a Int 40, I would like to have a 2MT on it to fit my Tom Senior Mill

Isoma,s website is has very limited info and a week of waiting for a email has seen no reply!!!!

I have a photo of the scope in my album

From what I can determine from a quick Google. These scopes have a M15 x 0.75 thread. It should be possible to change the arbour. **LINK**

Drawings on Oldiron's link specifies the attachment thread so just a matter of obtaining a 2 MT arbour with a blank end that can then be threaded to suit, a simple project I would think.

I managed to take the 40 Int arbor off the scope today,

Knowing it was only a thread fit gave me a little more confidence in what I was doing as it took a hell of a lot of turning force before it budged

lots of time, and soft jaws etc but it finally came out.

Now to look for a reasonable priced M15 .75 die !!!!!!!!!!!!

.

If you don't mind me saying so: I think screwcutting might be more appropriate.

Accurately machining the 16mm register will be critical.

Hi I did the reverse, changing my morse 2 taper to a 30 int.
If I can find the morse shank and it has the right thread I can send it to you.

Piero.

I have looked at the arbour and it's a Morse 3 unfortunately. But I did remove the brass adaptor ring which reduced the body thread of the scope to the thread on the arbour. Your welcome to PM me and I can send you images. You may be able to use my parts to assist in making a Morse 2 arbour.

Regards Mick
