They are about to start charging a Usery $399.00/year for 3rd Party Hosting.
Time to look elsewhere for adding photos to other Forums as I'm stuffed if I will pay their ransom!
It does of course mean that all the links to posts will now become blank.

Postimages has received the most recommendations so far.

Don't mind paying, but not the Usery amount they want.

Doesn't effect this Forum of course, thank goodness..

Keep up Geoff, its been discussed here and on just about every forum I visit for the last week

Posts will NOT become blank, all of there blanked out images can still be opened by right clicking and opening in a new tab

Doesn't work for me. Right click doesn't give me the option to "open in new tab" and "view image" takes me to photobucket but I get the same message.

Apparently you may have to right click more than once to get there.

I think it also depends on your browser.

And your level of motivation... seeking '450D cold finger' step by step blogs, I just fished around until I found non-photobucket site. Far easier than a dozen photos on different tabs to the text.

Doesn't work with firefox. Tried google chrome, which did allow me to open in new tab but still got the same pleasantries from photbucket. Wore out 2 mice (mouses?) right clicking to no avail.

For those missing images there is now a "fix" available for Firefox and Chrome. These are add-ons that can be loaded and return the missing images without needing to right click etc.

I have tried the Firefox one and after a re-start and page refresh it works for most images from HMEM but not all, I have not tried any other sites at the moment. Whether this will be a permanent fix remains to be seen, I am sure Photobucket will find a way to stop the add-ons working in due course!
