Hello from Northamptonshire.

Hi all. New member here. I have subscribed to the MEW for a couple of years but never bothered to register here. I have a Boxford AUD, it was a bog std CUD but I have fully restored and updated it with Gearbox, VFD and DRO, an Ajax MD20 mill/drill and a Chester Conquest mill. I have updated both mills with DRO's and power feeds to 2 axis'. I have started on a couple of model steam projects but am not very far along yet but hope for more progress now I am retired.

Welcome to the forum. I'm nearly from Northants, but not quite. On Saturday I went nearly seventy miles, by road (not as a crow would fly), and was still only at Croughton! Engineers tend to be a little more precise than that (Rutland being the exception, maybe?), so north, east south or west?

If towards the west, and you feel like an outing, over Saturday and Sunday Peterborough Society of Model Engineers have two activities, ongoing, to which you would be welcome

On Saturday and Sunday we have a small display at the Farm Open Day at Park Farm, Thorney, (off the A47).

As you leave the village, turn right at the mini roundabout into Sandpit Lane, and follow the farm road. We should be in a new building.

Other members are operating the portable track at Botolph Green, off Oundle Road in Peterborough.

(Turn off the A1139 towards Orton, and when you hit the Oundle Road, go towards the city centre)

Howard, Can you give me a few more details on the "small display" at the farm open day please. Also what time does it start? I think the wife is off to the NEC Saturday so I might be able to get over. I am in Corby so not far away.
