368 forum posts 7 photos | Hello all, roughly 40 years ago, made this loco, had it running on compressed air, got half way through the boiler, then lost interest. Its sat on the shelf for many years and realising that Im never going to finish it, have decided to part with it. I havent the heart to sell the thing, so would like it to go to someone who will complete the poor thing !. So if anyone would like a project, ( a father and son team would be nice ), please PM me with your details. Two conditions, number one, I would like a cash donation of £50, which will go to the Blue Cross animal charity and second, collection only of the loco, from Teignmouth. Also, included is a stand, many bits, drawings and Martin Evans's book. Many thanks. |

4 forum posts | Hi nick. I will happily take that off you to finish and run at my local club. Might be a good engine for instruction on the high level. Best regards Phil |

7 forum posts | Hello Roger, I have only just seen your post and would like to ask if my Disabled friend could be considered. (He is not too good on computers) Steve is in his mid 60's and has extreme problems with his Lips, Knees and Legs. But luckily he can manage to make it to his garage, on crutches where he has his lathe. He has 3 young Grandsons, all under 11, and a Grand-daughter, all of whom love to help him in his 'Workshop'. Steve is slowly teaching me the art of using a lathe etc, and I know that he, and his little helpers would be extremely interested in this project. Many Thanks, Best Regards, Derek

467 forum posts 60 photos | Phil, I think the draw was probably the best way forwards. I am also disappointed (must be the name) but I really hope the winner grasps this opportunity and successfully gets this project to the finish line. The post has made me more determined to get my own Rob Roy going again. Phil H |

7 forum posts | Hello Roger, I also think that a draw was the best option in this generous gesture. Although I didn't see my name in your list of people interested I would like to give my Best Wishes for finishing the project to the Winner. |
