97 forum posts 5 photos | Hi I was looking at some stuff and Googling trying to find other stores and found MSC in the UK. The website looks scruffy in comparison with the US MSC one. Is it a legitimate store? Anyone bought from them? Thanks! |

1394 forum posts 103 photos | Yes, received a delivery from them yesterday at work. Don't use them a lot, as they are a lot more expensive than other suppliers like Cutwel for many of our tooling needs (and than when they used to be J & L Industrial Supply), but they do some things the others don't - 2mm ground carbide rods yesterday. They have a huge distribution centre in the West Midlands that I used to call in to when I was on the road - used to be free coffee & donuts in the showroom & they had a "clearance corner" that was usually worth a rummage. ![]() 2156 forum posts | As Nigel says at bit more expensive now than when J&L. Worth signing up for the monthly offer sheet just remember to add VAT. The showroom had a refit this year, gone are the machine tools on display with just a few products out on shelf's. Looks like half the showroom is now some sort of conference area and on the couple of occasions I have called recently no clearance area. |

97 forum posts 5 photos | Thanks, I was just a bit worried because the website doesn't look great. I'm not in the UK or the USA, but what I'm looking is available from MSC UK for some reason for much less than MSC US. |

682 forum posts 337 photos | Thanks Chris , there is an Interstate website but it only really says milling cutters and lathe cutters as products , MSC sell dozens of different products branded Interstate so its confusing i suspect alot of it is imported from China but some higher end stuff is made in the US. Just guessing. Reason i asked was that MSC has one 18 pc set of er32 collets on clearance for £49 +VAT , usually sold for almost £300. So they are highly over priced or good quality on considerable discount. I already have 14 collets so dont think id bother ,so if anyone`s interested they were still there last time i looked., Sorry just gone !!! |

Unfortunately for this specific tool MSC UK has the lowest price I found and I haven't found it anywhere else so far other than in the USA for a higher price. |

329 forum posts 193 photos | I ordered some stuff from MSC yesterday ( Thursday ), A very polite salesman, And paid by card, totalled about £35, he said it would be delivered on Friday ( next day ), I had an e-mail confirming the order, and another this morning, saying It would be delivered by Craig between 10.06 am and 11.06 am Craig the DPD driver arrived at 10.05 am. A totally professional and courteous service, I have no connection with MSC , only a satisfied customer Richard. Edited By RICHARD GREEN 2 on 28/10/2016 12:55:44 |
