I'm Henry. Very new to model engineering I hope it works for me. I look online and read books to try and learn I bought a small chinese lathe a few weeks ago. I am more into traction or stationary engines.

Hello Henry,

Welcome to the forum. There's a great choice of stationary engine casting sets to get started with, and ifmade witha little care you should get success.

Neil

Hi Henry

If you are in Thurrock why not come along to the Romford club? You will be welcome and we dont bite laugh. Although we have a track not all of us build loco's. Many members choose Stationary, Stirling or IC engines. Our club webpage is here **LINK** where you will find the diary of events and lectures. Come to a competition night and see what people are building and have a chat. You get 3 visits before we ask for money and membership.

Send me a PM on this forum if you want to know more.

regards

Steve
