For those within reasonable traveling distance of Norfolk and while not an actual exhibition anyone suffering withdrawal symptoms can at least get partial relief by going to the Forncett Model Engineer's day where, as well as the really big stuff in steam, there will be a very good range of well made models displayed.

Sunday 4th October from 11.00 and a good day out! www.forncettsteammuseum.co.uk/

And the weekend before, the 26/7 of September is the St Albans & District Model Engineering Society exhibition.
2 days of steam models, boas, meccano, and cakes.

I had a great time last year. They had some nice catering too. These had to be the nicest presented cheese rolls ever:

I am looking forward to the 2916 exhibition, I shall be a mere 971 years old by then!

In the meantime there is always the Midlands exhibition next month, that's actually this year.

Wow, those cheese rolls look good! I am planning to exhibit some bits and pieces at Forncett again this year. May be I won't bother to take my own packed lunch this time.
