MEW 231 Harrogate Mystery Lathe

That "mystery" lathe at the Harrogate show looks very much like a Rollo Elf - the headstock cover is pretty distinctive. Intrigued, though, by the rear leadscrew(?)

I particularly like the Sturmey-Archer gearbox ( with the "correct" early gear change lever ) and the chain drive! Sorry though Rod I can't make out a rear leadscrew?

I'd forgotten those. I doubt the Sturmey Archer gear was any easier to keep adjusted on a lathe than on a bike
