Just a heads up that the Northern ME Exhibition is on this weekend, May 8th, 9th and 10th at the Harrogate show ground.

I'll be there with ARC's new End Mill Grinder doing demo's and if anyone wants to bring a few [ not 10,000 ] I'll grind them during the day.

Sizes from 3mm or 1/8" to 12mm or 1/2" in 2, 3 or 4 flute, HSS or Carbide.

No charge but we will have a charity box on the stand for The Children's Heartbeat Trust. Donations are optional but if anyone doesn't give enough you will be drummed out and your name printed here after the show - be warned. wink

Thanks for that John, but I think 'bogs' may be able to sort my end mills out for me. I will come and say hello on Saturday anyway as there are six of us from Crewe Men in Sheds going. Anyone else fancy a natter there are some of us 'mad modders' meeting by the big window (opposite the main entrance) at 12 noon so I hope to see a few of you there.

Cheers Derek.

Is it ok with Rippers John? and can it cope with plunging 4 flute cutters? the ones without a hole in the centre.

Yes to both Shawn.

On the 4 flutes if you have the hole it sharpens as normal but no hole makes it centre cutting.

A Mr B. Harrison has invited me to partake in strong drink at the bar on Saturday at 1pm. Now that should be a most unusual sight, an Englishman buying a Scot a drinkwink.

Regards,

Alan Hopwood.

And the Scotsman will no doubt reciprocate???surprise

See you Saturday.

John Stevensons machine looks every bit as capable in the metal as it were. It can even sharpen FC3 cutters.

John looks more statesman like in the flesh!

I will be bringing along one of my favourite carbide cutters and a couple of others. I have just knocked all the corners off it. It ticks me off when I am careless like that, but at least the charity will benefit so some good comes of it.
