Yes, Saturn's still well on show - but why do my shots look so wooden and brassy in comparison? laugh

Very pretty!

and modifying MichaelG's comment - I think MickB1 takes the award for beechcombing.

And he's left Paul McCartney wondering where one of his gold records has gone...

That appeared in S@N about a year ago - they are worse at updating their website than me!

Goodness knows what they've done to th colour balance on those images, it looks like they must have scanned a paper issue.

The original was bit of mountain bike suspension fork with interference fit knurled aluminium end caps but that was probably beyond most readers.

I've since taken it apart and anodised the end caps gold

But it actually made the BBC website AND Apple's News Feed, Yesterday

... Which is why I linked it.

I think you have just had your Andy Warhol moment.

Uranus is supposed to be very easy to see tonight (Oct 26 UK) to the left of the moon apparently.

No smutty schoolboy comments please!

Hope not, or you'll get a hernia.

It's a day or two past opposition so it was close to the moon yesterday when it was full. A good handspan to the right of it tonight.

I should have tried imaging it this evening it was pretty grim for anything else although I've had a go at M15 and the Double Cluster.

Thanks Michael.

The slight elongation of the core is how much the comet moves in two minutes. Not everything happening in the heavens is slow!
