Clockwork of course, just imagine the size of the key and the effort involved, Excellent bike project, would love to see it on the road, it cant be that difficult to get it registered just look at the amount of motorised beds and sheds that have been seen on the roads.

In this vein one project I have in mind is a Ransome Sims and Jefferies roller. Could be the shortest roller series ever in ME

Ramond I have noted this excellent post the members of

Madmoders have been informed as I think Derek Waghorn deserves honorary membership.

Hi Trev, I have only just seen this -and all the subsequent posts - so will pass this on to Derek.

I spoke to him recently and for all intents and purposes I think his trike is now finished as is the trailer to transport it - it is not cleared to be used on the road.

He'll like the idea of a big keywink

Like everyone else, I am just in awe at the detail and work involved, it is a truly spendid machine, surely worthy of entry in the Guiness book?

A real joy, please thank them both

This is incredible Derek! I met some of your family in Beccles today and we were talking about your car. I am sure you are really proud and quite rightly so. This car deserves to be in a film or tv show! I can just see Dr Who driving it!

I never had Meccano and would not call myself a fan BUT I cannot see how anyone could fail to appreciate this absolutely incredible piece of work.

AWESOME

Hi All,

I believe that this amazing "Meccano" trike, brought to our attention by Ramon ( and thanks for that),will be on show at the Midlands Model Engineering Exhibition in October.
