Not all Youtube videos allow users to embed in other media, depends if the "Allow embedding" box is selected when the author edits the uploaded video.

It's actually a case of opting out as embeding is allowed by default and needs the tick removing from the box if you don't want it

That's why I said when the author is editing the upload.

Steve as promised I had to use the wood lathe to show what I meant.

The first picture is how you held your cloth the second and third is how I hold it with the pad of either paper or cloth as you can see nothing wrapped around my fingers if it does catch it is pulled out of my hand and not pull my hand in with it. This can also be used with abrasive papers.

I hope this makes my explanation a little clearer Sorry about picture quality as well as being sideways

Thanks for that Derek. Now i can see the advantages of doing it like that. Good photo's. I like the bowl in the background.

I have tried to get this as a screen like Jason B does but to no avail. It talks of resizing the video to 450 but cannot see how to do that. Shame.

Anyway it is a short video, basically to show what others have told me i did wrong in the 1 st vid. Hope it clears things up a bit. Also as some have asked, i do not get any money from these video's. I just enjoy doing them.

Steve.

Steve (and others)

Just under the video on Youtube there is a "share tab" click that and about 5 options come up as well as the basic URL. Choose the one on the left "embed" and a long URL comes up with "copy" bottom right of that. Click copy.

Back in your thread with the cursor where you want the vido click the Youtube icon and paste the URL into the box that comes up and click OK. Don't worry about anything else. You will just get a blank box with IFRAME in the middle until you add the post

Thanks for that Steve. Ask any question regards of how to do a certain job and you'll get different answers proportional to the number of people asked. I was lucky in the respect that the toolroom I started my hingineering career as the youngest of five in the department, next youngest was 55. Boy, did they know their onions. In seeing you do something "Dodgy", first warning would be a shout. Second offence would be a kick up the posterior and third a piece of 4 x 2 on the back of the head. I never achieved the "Honour" of stage two or three and they managed to make sure I didn't suffer from some of their "Battle scars". Learned more under their collective wings than the "Book" ways and Tech.

As a true Yorkshireman, the words "It only cost a pound" means you WASTED 66.6 pence! angry

Regards Ian

I look forward to more videos. We all make errors while we work, which most of the time we get away with (and on nasty occasions don't), I guess we need to be very squeaky clean when instructing to others.

Keep it up, when I'm not in the workshop myself the next best thing is learning from videos like these.
