Hi Jason, I've only got Best of ME No. 2 & 3, I do have the 300 years of the Steam Engine and that has free plans for Trevithicks Dredger Engine still stapled in.

Regards Nick.

I have received a scan of Mikes copy of the interview with Cherry. I really appreciate him taking the time to this.

Also Ian J has generously sent me his copy in the post, for which i am very grateful.

Would be brilliant to have these republished,

Thanks Barry, it is an excellent book.

I've pulled mine out so I could read them, don't expect it's worth anything nowcrying

Could not lay my hands on best of No 3 but it's about somewhere.

Thanks folks,

I think the two 'workshop specials' would be the most appproriate content for MEW.

Probably depends on what their content was, the ME ones were just reprints of old articles and even then DC missed bits off. Does anyone with the MEW specials know if it was all new content?

Off the top of my head they were not 'new content' but more sort of the best of the best which was well worth having all in one place. The one on tooling contained the Eurika backing off tool for example which as far as I'm aware did not appear in MEW but may have done in ancient ME editions. I'll dig out my set later on and have a look.

regards Martin

Good news, we have tracked down high-resolution proofs of the 2008 special, and I have got confirmation that we can reprint the interview feature about Cherry and her workshop in MEW.

As it seems to be of such interest we will split it over MEW issues 294 and 295 (assuming no problems crop up).

Hi, yes brilliant, it's a very good and interesting read and will no doubt be welcome to those who haven't seen it. I had a chat with the good lady at Sandown Park once, very nice and polite lady, she actually spoke to me first.

Regards Nick.

She was sussing out the opposition...

No, she's very humble and generous in her praise of other people's models, she doesn't judge others as harshly as she judges her own work!

Hi Neil, I don't think she had much to worry about. I had actually stopped for lunch and sat down at a singe spot after asking a those already seated if it was free and they said yes, couple of minuets or so later, Cherry Hill came out of a room near this table and sat down almost opposite, she was obviously with those people. it was shortly after that she started speaking to me, I was quite surprised and felt honoured at the same time.

Regards Nick.
