Thread: How do you fight workshop/shed condensation
13/11/2013 09:40:20

Be careful with the dehumidifers, dry air can cause irritation of the nose and throat and mummification of everything else.
Hi Terry,
As a now retired local councellor there was many people who would have liked to have mummified me.
seriously when you say mummification do you mean that it dries out everything oil the lot.

this problem has been running on for a number of years in threads not only in this forum but others.
as far as I can make out it depends on, type of shed, position, insulation or not, windows I could go on suggest looking up old threads.

Fizzy changing the subject how is twinkle, I got told at the weekend that I was going to be a Great Grandad when tribe came round

Thread: Old hacsaw blades
11/11/2013 09:34:15

I have used these old saw blades for a number if things,
Tidied up and mounted parting off tool
Grandson No2 and self were making some Sterling hot air engines and we were looking at how to cut
the vanes, all the tooling was far to big, thought one of these old blades. once cut, sharpeded and mounted done the job,
Bob.

Neil,
The nearest Smith's shop for me is well over 30 miles away so rely on postman.
As far as the front cover is concerned I do not really care 2 monkeys t***s it is what is inside.
that matters.

Well Rod lucky you
Have had a number of items go AWOL, "Royal Mail" as far as I amconcerned there is nothing "Royal" about them any more... Some BLEEP has now got a quantity of brass bar that was destined for a client (and that was only the tip of the iceberg.) Try to use only couririer services these days.

Thread: thread of a record 36 vice
05/11/2013 16:26:08

Got one of these years ago when ELF and SAFETY decided to have our metal working shop shut down, if I remember it originally cost around 15.00. another thing was a very large anvil on a stand a few years before this they decided to instruct us that the point must be removed as a student might impail themself. (God there were a few that I would have happily stuck them on backwards) now back to the plot will take mine apart and measure it.
