I see you have one of those new rulers, that redefines the inch. You'll be out by nearly 5mm using that to convert 12 inches.

I'm not familiar with the 470, but is it priming fuel ok, plenty of pressure and suction when you press the bulb?. If fuel line is perishing then it may cause your symptons. I had a similar issue with a strimmer this afternoon, caused by a perishing fuel pipe.

I was in a Drive Thru at MacDonald's with my daughter. We were handed our meals in a bag.

"Can I have some Serviettes? I asked the young lad

"We don't do those" He said.

"You must do" I said (getting puzzled).

"It's not on the menu" He said (blankly)

"Serviettes! You must still do those" I said (getting slightly irritated)

"What are Serviettes" He said.

"Things to wipe your hands with" I said (now going into a state of shock)

"Oh, you mean Napkins! I've never heard them called Serviettes" He said (handing me far too many).

That's it, I'm old. I can't communicate with the young any more.

To overcome the dezincification of the brass I have often wondered if 'wetting' the entire inside surface of the brass end plate, with a coat of silver solder, would afford sufficient protection from the chemicals in the boiling water. What does the team think about this idea?

I've read you can get tablets to slow down the dezincification process (for the boiler I mean).

A few years ago I bought a cheap set of Linear parallels from one of the usual suppliers for around £45. A few weeks later, I noticed same set in a private ebay sale, and they were bought for £108! Someone wasn't doing their homework.

Have you connected a good known cable directly to the motor and fired it up, to take the other cable out of the picture?

It is not only Microsoft that has access to your data. Almost any program you allow to run on your computer can harvest information, dial home, and present it to the people that made the software. You have no idea what information 3rd party software is collecting from your machine. Your data is there to be 'read'. Have you noticed that most programs will dial home and take you to their webpage, when you are uninstalling them. Yes, be safe out there!!

This topic has picqued my interest. I have written a VB.Net application that will calculate the rotations and hole plates. Shaun sent me a copy of the old program he had (Mklotz), and I consulted that during the build.

The app is up and running. It loads and saves data and performs the calculations. I am still checking that it is calculating correctly. It seems ok with the few numbers I have thrown at it. It is still under test (which I hope covers my behind if the calcs are wrong

There does seem to be a lack of facility to mount the rt easily. Perhaps it is designed with a small footprint (without mounting lugs) so that it can be adapted to the smaller milling tables? Another thing that crosses my mind is that it looks like it can be easily made to fit the manufacturers bracket and become their tilting rotary table; are their sales of the tilting table slow, so they put these out in the market, or am I very wide of the mark?

A quick google leads to a lot of info. Not that I know a lot about this subject. The alco site says minimum radius for bar and flat bar is the thickness of the bar. The Rime site says 'Each material to be worked also has its own conversion factor. For example, the minimum bending radius of aluminium is determined by multiplying the sheet thickness by a factor of 2. If copper has to be bent a factor of 1.5 must be used. For steel the factor is 1. In this case the minimum radius equals the respective sheet thickness.' It also mentions about bending across or with the grain. **LINK**
