The penny farthing tools one on the net does not show a cutting frame and I cannot se where you would fit it as it has a bc frame fitted already.

It is possible to use a tailstock turret to make bolts, I use dedicated cutters similar to end mills with a thru hole of the correct size for the bolt stock and then thread and part off.

I presume you mean a wheel cutting engine and when you say tools you mean gear cutters, if so they are commercially available or you can make them yourself.

As a left pug you soon learn to adapt and in certain circumstances it's easier for lefty's to do certain jobs as I found out in my earlier years at work. As to the question I would have the handle n the left hand and the blade in the right., fly rod in the left etc.

The one thing I can recommend is that you have a suitable jig to hold the hss bit so when you return to your grinder (whatever sort) that the bit is at the same angles, meaning that touching up the edges does not mean large amounts have to removed. Especially important if you have hit on a set of angles that work for you.

I worked in the motor trade for 30 years and only occasionally saw high tensile nuts and they always seemed to be longer than normal nuts and were usually cylinder head nuts.

Head size should be between 0.090 and0.095ins. So 3/32 stock should do it.

Jason, you must boil the lead as lead melts at 200 to 300degs and silver solder flows at approx 690 degs
