I may be being a bit thick here but I can't get these to install on my pc, I have tried the distributed files ie the .appx file and instal in Firefox and also rebuilt it on Phonegap. The result is always the same, thus:-

Capabilities:
Access your Internet connection

Reason:
Either a new certificate must be installed for this app package or you need a new app package with trusted certificates. Your system administrator or the app developer can help. A certificate chain was processed but terminated in a root certificate that isn't trusted (0x800B0109)

Any suggestions?

I can't see a picture but those measurements will be fine.

I have the 500mW version of this NEJE device, the kids bought me it! and it's a toy. It has been months since I played with it but from memory the software was limiting and whilst the laser will cut paper, burn cardboard and singe wood I wanted to remove resist from metal surfaces for etching and it failed miserably. I suspect the ability of the metal to conduct away the heat. I don't know if doubling the power to 1 watt will make a significant difference.

I bought an Arrand boring head a few years ago on a 2MT taper to suit my little chinese mill, I suspect it is a 2" head but it doesn't say. It is beautifully made, works faultlessly, and I have to admit I have been known to just get it out and look at it!

What about something like 123D Catch from Autodesk? I have used the drawing component of that series with some success.

It may be slated for replacement by the Fusion 360 suite.

Congratulations! Some random thoughts:-

A 2 morse taper covers UK ring sizes G to Q roughly so the most common ladies finger sizes.
A plastic cable tie makes a good finger gauge.
If you do make one a gentle taper is easier to work on - you only need one size after all.
Get a good finish on the taper because that will be the finish on the inside of the ring.
Leather or plastic hammers are great for stretching and won't mar the ring material.

The best thing about working with precious metals - if at first you don't succeed just melt it and start again!

I use exactly the same compressor to drive my wax injector and it has no reservoir other than the condensate trap.

I use a "Smiths Little Torch" on propane and oxygen for small scale silver soldering, it appears to mix the gases inside the body of the piece just like my Saffire O/A torch which i agree is light and easy in the hand. The Smiths torch is available for acetylene and oxygen use with the only difference appearing to be the hose to bottle connection. Smiths

I have never used blown air and definitely don't have the lungs for the Saffire!.

Rodger, Model Engineers Workshop Manual although its name might suggest it is part of the workshop series is infinitely more than that. I was new to this game 10 years ago and bought lots of books and I can honestly say the best money I spent was on this book and Tubal Cain's Model Engineer's Handbook.

I have a set of the rolls although I didn't make them and they are really nice to use, the major advantage being that they curve the stock right to the end whereas pyramid rolls always leave a straight section I am told.

My 1969 "New de-Luxe Edition" of Shop Shed & Road shows the Everlasting blowdown valve on pages 168-171. I see what you mean by watchmaking though!

I think most of Kozo Hiraoka's locos are done without castings, you will have to scale for 5" gauge though! The Heisler in our club is a beauty!

There is no mention of what goes in the M6 tapped hole in the upper part nor the M3 tapped hole that intersects it. Likewise the 19.5 mm dimension of the lower part is referred to as for "final finishing" but never mentioned again.

I think I can guess what is going on but can't see where the movement needed for the clamp to work is coming from.

I always have difficulty understanding other peoples change wheel descriptions so this may be wordy but hopefully clear.

36 (fixed) on the spindle driving a 54 idler driving a 40 which shares it's stud with a 24 which drives a 40 on the 1.5mm pitch leadscrew.

Just to be perverse I put 0.81mm pitch into the little programs I use to work out gear trains for screwcutting on my C1 lathe and a different program for my metric Boxford AUD. In both cases I came up with a gear combination to cut that pitch either exactly for the C1 or with an error of 0.006% for the Boxford so it is possible at least.

I would use a die though.
