trying to find a 3ft rule with just imperial markings.

it's going to inlaid into a bench my eldest daughter wants building for her design work.

even though only 17 prefers what she proper measurements.

similar idea to tailors bench.

tried e-bay but no joy or not using right search words.

my youngest boy was making stuff on the lathe age 7 albeit with dad supervising and hand on em stop switch.

he can weld as well and did his own bike.

only reason doesn't now is no workshop and everything in storage.

but still goes climbing trees and wading in streams etc.

we even built shelter and slept out in woods last year.

i can send my 18 yr old girl a txt saying bring old clothes and get reply of yay adventure time.

although i worry about their safety i try to give them good memories.

and all my kids know safety first can't count number of times been caught and told off by them for being naughty daddy.

Am looking getting a remote control car to mess around with kids with when they are with me.

they have had these £20 ones from toyshops before and never seem to last.

looking at spending 100-150 on.

and as can't just pop down to beatties anymore like i used to as kid was looking for reccomendations.

as to be off road type as got little track with bumps etc on it and plastic grass near scooter park where i take them.

basic use of equipment like lathe milling machine and surface grinder plus more common equipment.

been doing lathe good fun.

just looked at link and it as new manual on it.

another thing worth knowing is thread chart in manual is wrong go by one on rear guard inside.

make sure you have right manual as when i bought mine manual was wrong.

look at step pulley on motor behind the big pulley is a small one.

unless you know its there you'll never realise.

m2 is 1.6mm tapping drill.

so looks like it will work.

Clogs kids want to use some red and gold spokes we have from old project,

will be using old std spokes first whilst getting lengths right.

building a bike project that means extending the spokes.

it's a penny farthing type idea.

planning on using two spokes connected but can't get tap to do it.

spokes measure 1.9-1.96mm should get away using 2mm tap and die to retap ends and make connectors?
