![]() 63 forum posts 4 photos | Hi folks, any Sherline lathe users out there...I am at the moment working on building the James Coombes, I have the pulley shaft clamped in the 3 jaw scroll chuck...problem is , my memory keeps letting me down , i can not think of which way to turn the chuck to loosen it ...can anyone help . all the best for now, John. |

![]() 1808 forum posts 744 photos | . At a guess. As the lathe (looking at the chuck face) spends the the vast majority of it's time running anti-clockwise I would say the chuck also unscrews anti-clockwise.
