200 forum posts 1 photos | I have been facinated by the adverts for Evolution mitre saws and the ease with which metal can be cut but since I already have two mitre saws for wood and an abrasive saw for metal, I have little room and could not justify buying another saw (questions would be asked in the house). Can anyone tell me if it ok to fit an Evolution blade to a standard mitre saw. I see in the Machine Mart catalogue they state that the blades are only for fitting to the Rage saw. I have a feeling that the speed of the woodwork saw may be a bit too high but if this can be overcome, is there any other reason not to use these blades. |

I do the opposite, I run normal tipped saw blades on the rage to cut alloy, believe it or not they cut better than the evolution alloy ones. The general purpose steel blade will cut alloy with a bit of lube but i can get a faster cleaner cut with a triple chip wood blade. |
