Hi all this is my first post.

I'm here because i'm looking to enlist the help of some engineers to make some things for me. See i'm electrically trained and only have basic engineering training and i don't really want to set up a mechanical workshop

So i thought this might be a good place to ask for some help.

I'm building a machine and need the mechanical parts made for me. It's a type of lathe used for engraving. At the moment i'm thinking i might be able to use some parts from an exsisting machine.

I think you would need at least a small lathe and a small mill plus measuring and marking eqpt - prob a surface plate etc

I am only at the very start of this project and have some way to go before i even make any parts.

Any help or advice will be much appreciated, i live in Herts, UK so someone fairly local to me would be good

Thanks

R

Further to my last post, i just want add that i will happilly pay a reasonable price for any work done for me.

Plus the project i'm working on is a specialised, and interesting challenge, if it's successfull i will happily share any rewards.

Thanks

R

Can you give your approximate location, Roger? Difficult hooking up with someone in Penzance if you are in John o' Groats.

Try looking on e-bay for 'CNC Engraver'. You may be surprised.

Richard.
