I remember seeing a photograph of a Bond Astronomical Regulator in a book years ago and it stuck in my mind how 'good looking' it was. Apparently one went for auction for about half a million dollars so I think home construction may be the only way ! W |

304 forum posts 17 photos | Ahhh.. I've just read it a bit more thoroughly -and I'm not sure it's the one that I'm thinking of.The one I have in mind has a conical penpendulum going around in a circle mounted on the top of the clock - is it the same one as described ? W. |

426 forum posts 40 photos | Wallace I have a long case clock at home with this type of escapement it is one of two built by my late father Frank Monk FBHI in the 1970s the other went to a friend of his who made the cases, it is still going and keeps very good time.
