I look at the index and decide if I need to stop off Smiths to pick up a copy but several times I have been too late and the next issue is out so leave empty handed.

Now nobody can be bothered to update MEW on the main page at all it is still on Issue 202, it seems that ME is now featuring stuff that would of been MEW forte so is MEW being phased out ?

Also we used to get an automated letter from the Editor every time a new MEW came out, this hasn't happened with the last 2.

Its also been brought to my attention that David C has not been posting here recently. I seem to recall that he mentioned a house move, so maybe he has other thing to attend to.

May I suggest that you all re-read DC1s editorials in recent copies both mags. He said something about yet another house move, down-sizing workshop equipment and freelance writing for MEW. This all suggests a new MEW editor but I dont think this has yet been announced or Ive missed it.

David is the MEW editor which I understood he does in a freelance manner so I dont think speculation about a new editor is needed. I did mention his house move might be the reason for him spending less time 'Posting' on the forum. Since he is an administrator I would expect he is still active in that role.

David is Editor of MEW and has recently moved house. He is freelance and, as such, works hours to suit himself. He is still an administrator but probably does not attend to the website on a daily basis as he used to do. Other than that, nothing has changed as far as I know. I thought it best just to make these facts clear.

Hi There

House move has taken too much time.

Plus fitting a kitchen in new house and decorating every room.

Plus dealing with stupid estate agents complaining we left rubbish in the rented house wheelie bin and we left weeds in the garden and we left indentations on the carpets where our furniture stood and we left nail holes above the windows (screw holes for curtain rails) and the garage door could not be unlocked (been fine for the last 18 months) and 101 other stupid complaints aimed at screwing us out of our deposit.

I am not quiting as MEW editor.

I will update website asap.

Too late to get cover photo and contents until Monday.

regards David

Hi David,

You have my sympathies I hate moving house, actually it is not the house move I hate it is the workshop move. Last time I had professional industrial movers move my workshop they made a mess of my materials but lets be honest the tools arrived in (nearly) one piece. It took another 2 years before I had a workshop again and could start making swarf.

Being without a workshop for such a long time is horrible: as they say never again. I could live without a kitchen but a workshop: Never again sad

Jo
