1585 forum posts 1 photos | Neil, I still have an old relative`s watch-making bench. It has a small fence around the edges to stop items taking a run for it. I have copied this for another workshop bench. Happy New Year to you and the rest of the forum members. John |

I have a door on the workshop. I'm not convinced its stops anything making a run for freedom I recall that jewellers used to wear leather aprons pegged to the bench to catch all the gold dust. Neil |

498 forum posts 9 photos | I have a workshop Gremlin it has a habit of creeping out while I am otherwise occupied and moving and hiding things, I have blocked all gaps, even fitted kickboards (removable) under the bench. It has all been to no avail. I even went to the extreme of tidying the bench, it did improve things for a while but but the little so and so has overcome even that. I wouldn't mind but she (she must be a she) hides things and then puts them back where I had originally put them. I don't know what the answer is! |

![]() 7468 forum posts 230 photos | All workshops/ workplaces are infected with Gremlins, you'll find them in every country in the world, and they are the same every where, and although there are millions of them, nobody has caught one yet. Adam proberbly had one in the Garden of Eden, and he definitely had one when he left the garden. Ian S C |
