Hi There

I need a small ring rolling, steel about 3/32 to 1/8 inch (2 1/2 to 3mm) thick.

About 55mm wide and 175mm diameter.

Not quite full diameter would be fine.

It is for a grinder guard.

regards David

Hi David,

Why not turn it from a piece of 2" galv pipe?

Peter.

Think you may be confusing the 55mm length with the 175mm (six and a half inch) diameter, Peter.

Sorry I can't help, David; I've no rolling machine..

Dave

try a piece of steel ducting. Air con ducting off cuts are quite cheap / free and galvanised often.

Does it really need rolling, can you not bend it around something of a slightly less dia or use the 3 points in a vice method.

PM me with your address and I can post one to you tomorrow if you like, FOC. Will take only a couple of minutes to roll.

Hi There

All sorted thank you.

I can't do it at the moment and I need it before next Wednesday.

I don't have my workshop set up yet, that is what I am doing at the moment.

I thought I had better get it done before the year since we moved was up.

regards David
