![]() 543 forum posts 31 photos | Can anyone help, is there a UK supplier of Acme threaded bar? if anyone has a link I would be most grateful. I am looking for .750 x 8 TPI. I am repairing/restoring a 1940's Norton No1 T & C grinder and the fine feed screw is missing, I know I could cut one but this is over three feet in length and i'm not sure it would fit on My Boxford. regards
Paul

753 forum posts 80 photos | Hi there, Paul, Just a cautionary thought - do you need your lead screw to be Left-hand or Right-hand thread? And do you need a matching nut? Best regards, Swarf, Mostly.

![]() 543 forum posts 31 photos | Gentlemen thank you very much, exactly what I needed. Swarf, No nut required it has a rather long single sided half nut affair which sits mid point in the casting it's made this way so you can disengage the screw when using the rack to feed.
