221 forum posts 1 photos | What about that!
Dispite being promoted as "the most highly respected model engineers' competition in the world and attracted competition entries and visitors from across Europe", it would appear there are no records of either past or present award winners to be found on the web.
I am sure the editor of our magazine will want rectify this deficiency and I think we should all encourage him to do so. |

![]() But in the meantine the full awards and results for last year 2010 can be found in volume 4397 (copy available on this very web site) and if you look back about a year the previous results will be found. No doubt in a few issues the 2011 results will also be published.
You have to remember the comp took place after the current issue went to the printers and is fair to allow the editorial staff a while to compile the results and have their xmas break as well

![]() 4318 forum posts 291 photos 1 articles | Recent year's winners are in the digital back issues, with reviews of the competition. In the fifties they used to get copy for a good six-months issues of the magazine from the show. Probably over the top but I did prefer it when each section was formally reported over a number of issues. Neil |

221 forum posts 1 photos | Thanks everyone, for pointing out where the information regarding previous MEX Competition award winners can be found and purchased.
I think it would be a nice gesture on the part of our publishers, if the list of previous award winners were made freely available in say, the archive section.
If nothing else it would be good publicity and would help promote future events.
Every little helps.

I try not to ram the exhibition down everyone's throats.
I don't look at it as free copy (no payment required) as it used to be.
I don't have time to look back through hundreds of Model Engineer to post on here.
regards David
