3 forum posts | I was interested in the article in the latest Model Engineer mag about the use of PTFE gaskets on a model steam engine. I have bought some material to have a go.
I notice that one side is a mat finish and the other is glossy. Does it matter which way round the gaskets are used?
Thank you

Can't see that it matters in the slightest.
What thickness did you get and where from?

3 forum posts | I got my PTFE from Ebay from davis plastics. Excellent service. I bought .25mm and .5mm as in ME. Mag.
If it does not matter which way round why make it with one shiny side and one mat?
